How live translation works
V8Chat Translate automatically chooses the suitable translation method for each language pair: live audio, transcription with translation, or text. You only see the option available for your selection; the technical choice happens in the background.
Limits, browsers and privacy
The device listens to room audio through the microphone. There is no direct connection to the TV or broadcaster. Moderate TV volume gives better results. Realtime translation requires an internet connection. Browser-tab audio depends on the browser, operating system and selected sharing source. Audio and transcripts are not stored permanently in the default mode. AI translations may make mistakes with noise, dialects, names and specialist terminology.
