How live translation works
Depending on the language pair, V8Chat Translate uses an optimised direct live route, a chained transcription and translation route, or a text fallback. The interface shows only the understandable user mode while provider details stay in the background.
Limits, browsers and privacy
Support depends on the browser and operating system. The user must deliberately select the source and enable audio sharing. There is no hidden capture. Realtime translation requires an internet connection. Browser-tab audio depends on the browser, operating system and selected sharing source. Audio and transcripts are not stored permanently in the default mode. AI translations may make mistakes with noise, dialects, names and specialist terminology.
